Welcome to Toxteth Tabernacle Baptist Church
(or ‘The Tab,’ as we like to call it!)
We are a diverse group people, spanning across all ages, from a wide variety of backgrounds and countries. What unites us is our love for Jesus and our passion to serve our local community of Toxteth, Liverpool. In fact, our church started meeting almost 150 years ago, and has a rich history of supporting all those living in the L8 postcode.
We’re a family church.
Our congregation is diverse; from many backgrounds, countries and different experiences of life. We have all, at one time or another, discovered that Jesus Christ is real: He is our Saviour, our Lord and our only hope.
We are all passionate about loving our community of Toxteth & Dingle in Liverpool, and serving it well. We are based on Park Road, L8. If you are planning your next visit to us click below.
We are a baptist church.
So, what is a Baptist church? How is it different from any other denomination? We get asked these questions a lot! The Baptist Union Website says it best:
“For Baptists the concept of a family is important. The church is not so much a particular place or building, but rather a family of believers, committed to Christ, to one another and to the service of God in the world.”
We love to support our community.
As a church we are involved in some brilliant local projects.
