The Movement of God: A Great Number Turn, While the Church Prays (Acts 11: 19 - 12: 25)
Elaine reminds us that God commissions his disciples. The Lord had told his early disciples that they were going to be his witnesses, therefore their success is no surprise. His promise was that He was going with them. When His hand is upon us, we can expect success in our mission. In other words: If God asks you to do something, He will bless your endeavours.
Elaine also talks about mentorship and how it is important for us to be disciples and learn from others that have gone before. We can also be mentors and train other disciples.
She ends with talking about how disciple, Peter, was set free from prison. God loves to astonish us and do more than we can think, or imagine. So let’s pray and believe that our prayers will be answered! Faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains.

The Movement of God: Don’t Call Unclean what God has Made Clean (Acts 10)
Dave talks about Acts 10. How Peter is given a vision from God of a giant sheet, filled with animals that Jewish people called “unclean”.
When God commanded Peter to eat, Peter boldly, almost stubbornly, refused: “Surely not, Lord! I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.”
But God has a greater purpose, delivering a rebuke that echoes through centuries: “Do not call anything unclean that God has made clean.”
Dave talks about breaking barriers and helps us think about who or what we might be calling unclean.

The Movement of God: May Contain Miracles (Acts 9: 31 - 43)
Beth talks about healing. How in a time of peace, the Holy Spirit encouraged Christ-followers with a healing that caused a ripple effect of salvation, across multiple towns.
She talks about how we cannot heal apart from the Holy Spirit. Yet, we can expect healing through the authority and power of Christ alone. She encourages us to pray for healing - not because it is something we can do in our own strength, but it is something that God can do in His, through us.
Are we available to pray when we hear people are sick?

The Movement of God: Who Are You Lord? (Acts 9:1 - 30)
Elaine walks us through the conversion of Saul, as he meets with Jesus on his way to kill Christians.
She talks about how Jesus asks Saul: “Why are you persecuting me?” This question makes Saul realise that Jesus takes any persecution of Christ-followers personally. It also makes Saul address his inward self. He is blinded, humbled and forced to consider what is going on within.
Elaine focuses on Ananias. How this man obeyed God, even though it was a dangerous thing to let Saul into his home and pray for him. Trusting God in the face of well founded fear will prove the authenticity of our faith.

The Movement of God: Sent, Surprised and Sanctified (Acts 8)
The book of Acts shows us a simple, powerful truth: the church is meant to move. In Acts 8 we see what happens when God’s people step out in obedience. It is not always comfortable, it is not always neat. But it is always used by God.
Dave talks about how the church on missions often begins reluctantly. Yet, it enjoys surprising success when it does step out.
Dave also shows us how the church on mission is messy. But our God is faithful and He will purify His people to keep His mission moving.

The Movement of God: The Word of God Spreads, Despite Resistance (Acts 6)
Filmed for a family service, Hannah and Jon walk us through the story found in Acts 8.
Jon reminds us that God always has a plan, though we may not fully understand it. We are protected by God, yet that does not mean that bad things don’t happen to us and those around us.
How do we react when we find ourselves in really difficult circumstances?

The Emotions of Easter (Mark 16: 1-8)
Beth talks about the Easter Story. What were the women feeling and thinking, on Easter Saturday? How did it feel to wake up on Easter Sunday and go to Jesus’ tomb… to find no one there?
No matter what grief, pain, astonishment or confusion we face, Jesus wants to meet with each one of us, right where we are at. He does not wait for our emotional storm to end.

The Movement of God: Fearing God and Filling Jerusalem (Acts 5)
Beth talks about the fear of the Lord: What is it? She uses Acts 5 to explain the Holy Spirit’s role in convicting us. She talks about how peace comes, when we repent from sin. God is always willing to forgive and God never condemns.
Beth also talks about how the fear of the Lord can result in revival - hearts returning to God, on mass.

Guest Speaker, Jo Hassoun. The Faithfulness of God (1 Kings 19)
Jo talks about how life is messy, but God is forever faithful. When we are worn down and have been strong for so long, it is tempting to give up. But, when Elijah found himself depressed, God gave Elijah what he needed. Food, rest and time. God reminds Elijah of His awesome presence, compassion and faithfulness. Using a moment in which Elijah encounters His still, small voice, Jo reminds us that we don't always find God where we expect.
